Rusizi, 3 October 2026

Today, the PEVIC SC family joined our co-founder NIYOMUGABO Cesar and his loved ones in laying to rest his beloved father, NDEKEZI Denys, at Gihundwe Cemetery in Rusizi District.

On behalf of the Founders, the Board, our players, coaching and technical staff, partners and supporters, we renew our most heartfelt condolences to Cesar, his mother, his siblings and the entire family. No words can ease the pain of losing a parent, but we want Cesar and his loved ones to know that they do not carry this grief alone.

A father's legacy

The values Cesar brings to PEVIC SC every day — discipline, integrity, courage and an unshakeable commitment to community — were first learned at home. In honouring NDEKEZI Denys, we honour the foundation he laid: a life that shaped a son who now helps shape a club, and through it, a new generation of Rwandan athletes.

A final farewell

The burial took place on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at Gihundwe Cemetery, Rusizi District. We are grateful to everyone who travelled to Rusizi to stand with the family, and to all who kept them in their thoughts and prayers from afar.

Our message to Cesar

Cesar, you are a founder, a colleague and a brother. Just as you have stood with this club from its very first day, the whole PEVIC SC family stands with you now, today and in the days ahead. Take the time you need; we are here for you.
