Debutants vs Champions: PEVIC SC Takes On Decorated Police HC Tonight Match Written by PEVIC SC Communication 25 Oct 2026

Fresh from their first league win this morning, PEVIC SC face one of the most decorated clubs in Rwandan handball, Police HC, at 17:45 tonight at Petit Stade Amahoro, Remera.

Few fixtures in a debut season carry as much meaning as this one. Tonight, the newest club in the D1 Men’s Handball National League meets one of its most successful.

Police HC was founded in 2002 and is one of the most decorated teams in Rwanda, with many National League titles since the league’s inauguration. Over more than two decades the club has set the standard for consistency and winning at the top level of Rwandan handball. Its crest carries three words that explain that success: Team Work · Discipline · Success.

PEVIC SC was founded in 2026 and is playing its very first league season. This morning the team made a winning start, beating Nyakabanda HC 33–22 at the same venue. Tonight the challenge is even bigger.

For PEVIC SC, there is no better measure of progress than facing a champion. Every club that wants to compete at the top has to meet the established teams. Doing it on matchday one, just hours after a first win, is a real test of the squad’s depth, fitness and character.

The club was founded on five values: Performance, Excellence, Victory, Integrity and Courage. Tonight calls for all five, and above all Courage.

A double-header on the same day tests every part of the squad. The coaching and strength and conditioning staff will be focused on recovery between the two games, so the team can bring the same energy at 17:45 as it did at 10:15.

PEVIC SC has great respect for what Police HC has achieved in Rwandan handball. Tonight the two teams meet as equals on the court, and we expect a fair, hard-fought game.
